LIVING VICTORIOUSLY IN CHRIST

Congratulations on your devision to become a member of God’s wonderful family!

Today there is a new name written in heaven and it is yours…

Your New Life…And How to Make The Best of It!

  • Remember 2 Corinthians 5:17- anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.
  • Start reading God’s word, The Bible, every day beginning with the New Testament. It is the most important way to personally know God and His son, Jesus Christ.
  • Develop a habit of praying daily. Prayer is your way of communicating with God. Simply speak to God the way you would a loving parent. Tell Him how you feel, and what areas of your life you need Him to help you with.
  • Give yourself time to overcome old habits. It doesn’t always happen overnight.
  • Share with others how the Lord has changed your life.
  • Find and then join a Bible teaching, Bible believing, soul-winning church.
  • Be faithful in your church attendance. God is not interested in our ability as much as he is our availability.
  • Be Baptized in water.
  • Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
  • You will be contacted with additional information.

Things you Should know to become victorious in your new way of Life!

  • There are two spiritual families in the earth: God’s family and Satan’s family. Because you are now God’s child, Satan is your worst enemy. Expect him to make every possible effort to deceive you and cause you to doubt God’s love, mercy and forgiveness. Whatever you do, don’t believe him. John 8:44 “…Satan is a liar, and the father of all lies.”
  • Satan will do all that he can to hinder you from attending church. If he is not successful getting you to willfully live a life of sin, another strategy of his is to keep you so distracted that you don’t have time for God.
  • Often times Satan will use old friends, past acquaintances, and even unsaved family members to lure you back into that old lifestyle you were living. Be very cautious of this. Always use your life to draw them to the Lord, and never allow them to use their lifestyle to lead you away from Him. “Bad friends will destroy you.” 1 Corinthians 15:33
  • Be on guard against Satan deceiving you into believing that when you make a mistake or sin again that it’s all over, you haven’t changed at all, and that God is  finished with you. Christians aren’t perfect, just forgiven. We all sin from time to time. “But if we confess our sin, God is faithful and just to forgive us our since, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. 1 John 1:9
